Lily Foo Sau Kwan began her artistic journey in 2018, embracing traditional Chinese ink painting with passion and determination. Entering the art world later in life, she quickly developed her own voice, using vibrant colours, layered textures, and fluid lines to explore themes of nature, myths, love, and life’s contemplations. Her works combine the strength of ink traditions with the freedom of contemporary abstraction, balancing discipline and imagination.
Her dedication has earned her recognition, including the Award of Excellence (Culture Art Competition, 2018), Selected Award (National Elite Calligraphy Competition, 2019), Merit Awards (2021, 2022), Second Prize (National Ink Painting Contest, 2023), and the Silver Award, Black & White Category (Superior Culture International Art Competition, Hong Kong, 2024).
